drop a pebble in the water: just a splash, and it is gone;
but there’s half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on,
spreading, spreading from the center, flowing on out to the sea.
and there is no way of telling where the end is going to be.


drop a pebble in the water: in a minute you forget,
but there’s little waves a-flowing, and there’s ripples circling yet,
and those little waves a-flowing to a great big wave have grown;
you’ve disturbed a mighty river just by dropping in a stone.



drop an unkind word, or careless:
in a minute it is gone;
but there’s half-a-hundred ripples circling
 on and on and on.
they keep spreading, spreading, spreading
from the center as they go,
and there is no way to stop them,
once you’ve started them to flow.


drop an unkind word, or careless: in a minute you forget;
but there’s little waves a-flowing, and there’s ripples circling yet,
and perhaps in some sad heart a mighty wave of tears you’ve stirred,
and disturbed a life was happy ere you dropped that unkind word.


drop a word of cheer and kindness: just a flash and it is gone;
but there’s half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on,
bearing hope and joy and comfort on each splashing, dashing wave
till you wouldn’t believe the volume of the one kind word you gave.

but there’s gladness still a-swelling, and there’s joy acircling yet,
and you’ve rolled a wave of comfort whose sweet music can be heard
over miles and miles of water just by dropping one kind word.

the real seven wonders

a group of geography students studied the seven wonders of the world.
at the end of that session, the students were asked to list what they think were considered to be the present seven wonders of the world.
though there was some disagreement, the following got the most votes:
1) egypt’s great pyramids
2) taj mahal
3) grand canyon
4) panama canal
5) empire state building
6) st. peter’s basilica
7) china’s great wall
while gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student, a quiet girl, hadn’t turned in her paper yet. so she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list.
the quiet girl replied, “yes, a little. i couldn’t quite make up my mind because there were so many.”
the teacher said, “well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help.”
the girl hesitated, then read, “i think the real seven wonders of the world are: 

1) to touch
2) to taste
3) to see
4) to hear
she hesitated a little more, and then
5) to feel
6) to laugh
7) and to love
then there was the room so full of silence it was deafening!

♥.¤ª"˜¨¯¨¨๑✰,¸it is far too easy for us to look at the exploits of man and refer to them as “wonders” while we overlook all the Almighty ALLAH has done for us,
regarding them as merely “ordinary”.
May we be reminded today of those things which are truly wondrous that the Generous Creator ALLAH has given; that we take for granted ¸,ø¨¨"ª¤.❤

the two roads…

patience is a virtue. hastiness is a vice.
honor, is a must. disrespect, is an unnecessary lie.
charity is great. greed is terrible.
humbleness is exceptional. boastfulness will cause you to stumble.
love, is a necessity. hate, comes to no good.
wisdom causes one to think. foolishness is one to brood.
faith always heals. doubt, always fails.
hope always presses onward. despair, goes wayward.
to redeem, is a blessing. to enslave, is a curse.
to pity, is alright. to antagonize, is worse.
mercy it empowers. intolerance it provokes.
knowledge always encourages. ignorance always chokes.
to err is human. to forgive is divine.
one road leads the way to Hell. the other road leads to Paradise.

One bird can herald spring.

One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey,
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what’s true.

accept others for who they are.




break away from everything that stands in the way of what you hope to accomplish with your life.





create a circle with close ones with whom you can share your hopes,
dreams, sorrows, and happiness with.




decide that you’ll be successful and happy come what may, and good things will find you. the roadblocks are only minor obstacles along the way.







explore and experiment. the world has much to offer, and you have much to give. and every time you try something new, you’ll learn more about yourself.




forgive and forget. grudges only weigh you down and inspire unhappiness and grief. soar above it, and remember that everyone makes mistakes.


























grow leave the childhood monsters behind. 
they can no longer hurt you or stand in your way.




hope for the best and never forget that anything is possible as long as you remain dedicated to the task.




ignore the negative voice inside your head.
 focus instead on your goals and remember your accomplishments. your past success is only a small inkling of what the future holds.




 journey to new worlds, new possibilities, by remaining open-minded. try to learn something new every day, and you’ll grow.




know that no matter how bad things seem, they’ll always get better. the warmth of spring always follows the harshest winter.




love, let love fill your heart instead of hate. 
when hate is in your heart, 
there’s room for nothing else, 
but when love is in your heart,
there’s room for endless happiness.




manage your time and your expenses wisely, and you’ll suffer less stress and worry. then you’ll be able to focus on the important things in life.



























notice never ignore the poor, infirm, helpless, weak, or suffering. offer your assistance when possible, and always your kindness and understanding.




open your eyes and take in all the beauty around you. even during the worst of times, 
there’s still much to be thankful for.




play never forget to have fun along the way. 
success means nothing without happiness.





 question ask many questions, 
because by questioning you learn.




relax refuse to let worry and stress rule your life,
